If you have a patient who meets criteria listed below, different hospitals are testing for COVID-19 in different locations. For further information, please read the page thoroughly.

criteria to meet to get tested:
1. You have a fever of 100.4 or greater
OR a cough
OR you are experiencing diarrhea
OR shortness of breath
AND
2. You have traveled to one of the countries most affected by the virus within 14 days of the start of your symptoms;
OR you have had close, direct contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days;
OR you have had close, direct contact with someone who traveled to a country affected by the virus in the past 14 days.
If you are age 65 or older, have a chronic medical condition, or are immunocompromised, please call your primary care doctor at the first sign of fever or respiratory illness.

HOLY NAME HOSPITAL
Call Doctor's office FIRST and your primary provider can screen you on telemedicine. Then, your doctor will refer patients to Holy Name Health Services for further screening and testing.
VALLEY HOSPITAL (no longer testing)
1. The nurse will screen you first to see if you meet the criteria
2. When all criteria are met and approved, obtain a physical copy of a prescription from your primary care provider before visiting the center. You can ask your dr's office to fax over the prescription to the fax number below.

At this time testing criteria includes symptoms plus a risk of exposure or co-morbidities/immunocompromised/pregnant/elderly per current CDC guidance. Patients not meeting criteria will not be tested!
Provide advance notice in the form of a referral from the physician
When referring a patient to MedExpress for COVID testing, please instruct the patient to call the MedExpress center. You or a member of your office team no longer need to call the MedExpress center. If a patient arrives at MedExpress without prior notification from a doctor they will not be tested.
Follow proper procedure for arrival
1) When patients arrive at the center, they are to call the center from their car
2) A member of the center will go to the car, give the patient a mask, validate that they meet testing criteria and if met accompany the patient into the center.
